Right-0 understand Master Slave is currently in PorkPieLand but as I have just booked my passage to travel back to J-Land then I might as well start with teh details...
2010 FORMULA 1 JAPANESE GRAND PRIX (Suzuka)
Fri Oct-8-2010 to Sun Oct-10-2010
But for sake of argument and scheduling Saturday and Sunday are the only daze that are moast important. Monday the 11th is a National Holiday btw... so drinkies poast race are a requisite.
The Suzuka circuit is located about 37 miles (60 kilometres) south of Nagoya, apparently...
So... Nagoya-ites... suggestions on hotels please (I looked at teh Westin but they wanted silly monie$ for a decent sized bed with a view of teh moat).
Oh and Skips what is this ferry that you mention?
Thanx in advance... |

Yummy. Will PM you later with some details. Must rush off just now. Going deeper into the gaikoku wilderness today. Dragonland calls. _________________ My fear is that heaven may be sort of geospecific. Since I've been a good boy here, I might get consigned to here's version of heaven. |

The ferry's between the airport and Tsu, it takes about 45 minutes. I stay in the Tsu Miyako hotel.
Tsu's a bit of a dump, but it's near the sea and you get to hit the town with Wage, and Clifton might put in a guest appearance. _________________ De Gaulle: Alors, Massu, toujours con?

You could do that, but the racket from Slave Manor will mean a sleepless night _________________ De Gaulle: Alors, Massu, toujours con?

How about a dinghy moored in a rice paddy? _________________ For all your underwater gardening and advance sports results prediction needs. |

Skips information is pretty good especially what a dump Tsu is comparison with scenic Chiba. However if you think Tsu is bad you should see Suzuka.
Nagoya is a good 45 minutes by train and then a bus to the circuit.
Accommodation could well be very tight. We will just have to see how it pans out. The circuit is probably about 30 mins drive or a bit longer on public transport door to door.
Yokkaichi is another possibility but scenic it aint. It has a bit of character though. If you are into beef and a somewhat less respectable experience then Matsusaka will suit well. _________________ My fear is that heaven may be sort of geospecific.
